Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question that is not listed below, please give us a call – we’re here to help!
WILL I OWN THE WEBSITE AFTER IT IS BUILT?
Yes, you will own the website, but all third-party software used in the build will be licensed for your use, either on a lifetime license or an annual fee and this includes updates to ensure your website’s performance is optimised (any ongoing fees will be shown in your quotation).
Who looks after the website after it's been built?
We cater to those wishing to manage their own websites after build and a fully supported maintenance package – please see our ‘Website Maintenance’ section.
WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS YOU OFFER?
We provide full details of payment options in your quotation, which include the ability to make stage payments. Once you have a quotation from us we can discuss the best payment option which suits you.
Can I add more pages once my website is live?
Yes, of course. You can add more pages as required. If you need us to assist you to achieve this we can (all work carried out which is not covered by a maintenance agreement is chargeable at an hourly rate).
HOW CAN FIND OUT THE COSTS FOR BUILDING A WEBSITE?
The best and simplest way is to use our quotation request form on our website or call us. We can then provide you with some options to suit your requirements.
Do i have to supply the imagery?
The best advice is to use the highest quality images to showcase your new website creation. If you have images already, then we can use them. If not, we have an extensive stock image library that is available to use (there may be a small additional fee for using this facility).
If you require new images to be taken, we have our own photographers who can assist you and these services are both high quality and affordable.
Who's Name will the domain be registered in?
If you already have a domain, we will need to direct your new website to it. If you need us to buy a new domain on your behalf, we will register it in your name or as directed by you.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ABOUT GDPR AND DATA PROTECTION?
All businesses are legally responsible for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If your website stores and personal data, you are bound to comply with these rules. We can provide you with advice on how to comply with this, once we know how your new website will be used. Contact forms usually store the sender’s details and these should not be stored indefinitely.
A complete GDPR page is provided for you as standard as part of our build process and covers all the technical operations of the website (if you require a copy, please let us know).
WILL MY WEBSITE WORK ON SMART PHONES?
All our website creations are fully optimised for great performance and visibility on mobile devices.
Are there any hidden fees?
We provide clear and transparent pricing and have no hidden fees. If you have any questions about pricing, please feel free to call us.
What happens if I need changes to my website?
After your website is published, you will be sent the login details to enable you to make changes as you require. We also provide a short tutorial to assist anyone who requires assistance.
Will you write the website text for me?
Page content text is usually created using a draft of your services being provided to use in the first instance. We will then edit this for you and send it to you to approve. During our edit, we use keywords associated with your business which will be beneficial for Google returning your business in search results.
